ThinkAnalytics suggests FAST way to monetise content

The ability to automatically generate and schedule FAST channels is a key focus for ThinkAnalytics this year, as service providers continue to seek ways to monetise their content.

Peter Docherty, CTO and founder of ThinkAnalytics, said the recently launched ThinkFAST product is designed to help reduce time to market while also driving up audience engagement and reducing churn.

Docherty: ‘The only way to make FAST work is to attract advertisers’

“Everyone launched these FAST channels. They’ve got all the costs associated with it, and now they’re relying on the ad revenue coming in, and it’s not,” he said.

Docherty said ThinkAnalytics can help content providers on two fronts: creating schedules, and then then delivering the audience segments that are relevant for the content on that channel.

“You can even create channels designed specifically to attract certain audiences that advertisers want to reach,” he added. “You have to create channels that make sense for the viewers,” and then maximise the value of the ads that are coming from it.

“The only way to make FAST work is to attract advertisers,” he added.
